The check isn’t written for that much.. it’s
[0.002 + e(i*pi)] + the sum of 1/(2^n) from n=1 to infinity (which is =1)
so
[0.002 - 1 + 1] = 0.002
so the check was written for 2/10 of a cent
It’s e to the i*pi (not 2*pi) so the left two terms cancel each other. The result is thus $0.002 or 0.2 cents!!
